another one wipes the dust
Hi! Although I am knitting and crocheting almost all day, another dishcloth is all I can show. I worked on my pineapple sweater and a cute hat last weekend, but the one piece is not ready and I am not completely satisfied with the result of the hat, so both have to wait until I show it to the world. My second dishcloth was another exercise, this time I wamted to practice a cable pattern. I already have knitted this kind of cable on my celtic cable scarf, the edges have been made with this really simple pattern.
Now I wanted to use the cable pattern on a square area, just for fun. I used large needles and a cotton yarn meant for potholders. So the knit became a bit floppy, but this was intended, in order to be a good rag. The cable didn´t came out very good like that, but I prefer usability before style. Scrub Scrub.

Hi! Hat die Woche schon angefangen? Ich bekomme nix mehr mit, weil ich mit der Nase tief in Wolle stecke. Am Wochenende habe ich weiter an dem Ananasmusterpulli gehäkelt, und eine Mütze angefangen. Mit der Mütze wollte ich etwas ausprobieren, muss aber noch daran arbeiten. Um wieder was kleines Schnelles einzuschieben, habe ich ein weiteres Spültuch gestrickt. Ich wollte ein Zopfmuster testen, das ich schon beim keltischen Zopfmusterschal gestrickt hatte. Die beiden Kanten des Schals sind mit einem ganz simplen Muster gestrickt, lediglich die Richtung des Zopfes wechselt alle 2 Reihen, so dass sich ein Flechteffekt ergibt.
Dieses Muster wollte ich mal auf einer Fläche sehen, und habe schnell mit Topflappenwolle und großen Nadeln ein paar Maschen angeschlagen. Nun, weil die Nadeln recht groß waren, kommt das Zopfmuster nicht optimal raus. Aber ich wollte das Gestrick mit Absicht locker halten, da ich Spültücher in der Festigkeit von Topflappen nicht mag. Das muss schlabbern!
Also habe ich nun einen schlabbrigen Zopfmuster-Lappen. Mal was anderes. Schrubb Schrubb
